Mixing Photography and Painting
My name is Anthony Marshall and I live in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, England. I have been a landscape photographer and artist for thirty years and my work is held in private collections in the UK, Europe, USA and the Far East. Over the last fifteen years I have concentrated on my work with fine art galleries and to date (2009) have held forty one exhibitions around the UK. My collection of work attempts to explore the visual relationship between photography and painting. Many artists I know use reference photographs for their paintings and because of my background my photographs are not just snapshots, they provide the actual composition of the final painting.
